Benedictine chapel at Isle of Hope, Georgia

We passed through Hell Gate yesterday.  It was narrow and very shallow.  Then we were delivered to Isle of Hope.  I adore it.  She lays the southern charm on thick, and it works.  I read somewhere the island has been used as a setting in Forrest Gump.  Which is exactly how I would describe this place – it feels like it came right out of the movie.  This is the Chapel of Our Lady of Good Hope (established 1874).
