Mermaid's Bangles

Miami, Florida
More work I did last summer, while sailing from Baltimore, MD to Jacksonville, FL. This is a series of four one-of-a-kind necklaces inspired by the magical treasures that can be found where the ocean meets the sand. This series is called Mermaid's Bangles, and is made of crocheted yarn and sterling silver wire, large agate circles strung on silk thread, and -depending on the piece- amber, fluorite, peridot, citrine, amethyst, blue topaz.

This is the painting that goes with the necklace. It is ink, gouache, watercolors and pencil on paper, and is also called Passage.
