Dig Me

Draw me out of my weathered skin.
Curse this cocoon and push it
until it cracks my pallid light
into the dust blended background.
Wipe the dirt off my lips
and quench my
waiting for your open eyes -
one breath is all I need.
I'll hold it deeply anchored,
silk brush wings tickling inside
when you ask me who I am
a thousand butterflies will bare the colors of my dreams
and you will know the answer.
